Oregon Cabaret Theatre in Ashland is gearing up to open “Chicago,” the John Kander and Fred Ebb musical that won six Tony Awards when it was revived on Broadway in 1997.

With one of the largest casts in the Cabaret’s 40-year history, the show also will feature a live backing band paired with electric dance numbers.
